SUNDAY COMIC SCRIPT — ISSUE-009

FORMAT
One landscape Sunday page with eight numbered panels: wide opening panel,
three panels, three panels, and a large wide final panel. Clear reading order.

CONTINUITY
Match Issues 1-8. Ace: lean, dark hair, rust-red rolled-sleeve shirt, dark
vest, jeans, silver radio headphones. Jack: stockier, sandy hair, short
mustache, square glasses, olive work jacket, cream shirt, jeans, tool belt.
Their adult alien buddy matches ISSUE-008: two and a half feet tall, sage-green
skin, large black eyes, silver-gray travel suit, tiny boots, small satchel.

SETTING
A fictional Lake Koshkonong clubhouse at night: knotty-pine walls, stone
fireplace, old trophy fish, supper-club carpeting, amber lights, modest bar,
and a row of vintage mechanical slot machines. No real casino brand.

PANEL 1 — THE CLUBHOUSE
Visual: Ace and Jack enter the cozy clubhouse with the tiny alien walking
between them. A simple sign reads LAKESIDE CLUBHOUSE. The alien studies the
lights and old slot machines with quiet fascination.
Dialogue:
ACE: First contact, night two.
JACK: Clubhouse orientation.

PANEL 2 — THE HUM
Visual: The alien stops before one particular vintage three-reel slot machine.
Its large eyes reflect the spinning symbols. Subtle concentric psychic ripples
connect its raised fingertips to the mechanism—clearly impossible ET power,
not a real gambling technique.
Dialogue:
ALIEN: This machine is humming wrong.

PANEL 3 — COSMIC SIGNIFICANCE
Visual: Ace kneels beside the alien, excited, while Jack holds one ordinary
token. The machine remains untouched.
Dialogue:
ACE: Can you read its probability field?
JACK: He said it's humming.

PANEL 4 — ONE TOKEN
Visual: Jack hands the alien exactly one token. The alien places it in the
slot and gently pulls the lever using both small hands.
Dialogue:
JACK: One try.
ACE: For science.

PANEL 5 — THE REELS
Visual: Close view of the reels slowing. Three symbols become tiny flying
saucers. The alien's eyes glow faintly. Ace and Jack lean in from opposite
sides.
Sound effect:
CHUNK... CHUNK... CHUNK.

PANEL 6 — JACKPOT
Visual: Bells flash and a huge clean JACKPOT sign lights. An impossible flood
of coins pours from the machine, rapidly covering the carpet. Ace celebrates;
Jack grabs an empty bushel basket; the alien calmly watches.
Dialogue:
ACE: He did it!
JACK: Get a bucket.

PANEL 7 — THE POWER
Visual: Ace asks the alien while coins continue piling around their ankles.
The alien sips from a tiny soda glass. Jack uses a snow shovel to manage coins.
Dialogue:
ACE: Telepathy? Precognition?
ALIEN: I asked it nicely.

PANEL 8 — BIG WIN
Visual: Large exterior payoff. Ace, Jack, and the alien push and pull an
overloaded little utility trailer away from the glowing clubhouse toward the
garage. It is piled absurdly high with coins, buckets, and one bent snow shovel.
The tiny alien rides on top like a calm king. The trailer tires are nearly flat.
Lake Koshkonong and stars behind them. A loose coin trail marks their path.
Dialogue:
ACE: We won big!
JACK: We need bigger tires.
Caption:
BEGINNER'S LUCK.

LETTERING
