SUNDAY COMIC SCRIPT — ISSUE-008

FORMAT
One landscape Sunday page with seven numbered panels. Six simple garage
panels establish the visitor and character contrast. One large wide final
panel provides the quiet lakeside payoff.

CONTINUITY
Match Issues 1-7. Ace: lean, dark hair, rust-red rolled-sleeve shirt, dark
vest, jeans, silver radio headphones. Jack: stockier, sandy hair, short
mustache, square glasses, olive work jacket, cream shirt, jeans, tool belt.
The story takes place shortly after the unexplained space beam in ISSUE-007.

ALIEN DESIGN
One tiny extraterrestrial visitor, about two and a half feet tall. Slender,
large dark expressive eyes, muted sage-green skin, small practical silver-gray
travel suit, tiny boots, and a modest satchel. Friendly, dusty, and understated.
Not grotesque, not a familiar copyrighted alien, and not accompanied by a
spaceship or other aliens.

PANEL 1 — ARRIVAL
Visual: The garage door stands open to the Wisconsin night. A tiny alien simply
walks in past a pair of muddy work boots. Ace, holding a wrench, freezes. Jack
continues sorting parts at the bench.
No dialogue.
Sound effect:
tap tap tap

PANEL 2 — ACE SEES HISTORY
Visual: Ace leans urgently toward Jack while keeping his eyes on the alien.
The alien waits politely in the middle of the garage.
Dialogue:
ACE: Jack. This could be humanity's first contact with extraterrestrial
intelligence.

PANEL 3 — JACK LOOKS
Visual: Jack slowly turns from the workbench and looks down at the alien.
No dialogue.

PANEL 4 — THE ALIEN LOOKS
Visual: Reverse angle. The tiny alien looks up at Jack. Both have perfectly
neutral, assessing expressions. Ace waits breathlessly in the background.
No dialogue.

PANEL 5 — WISCONSIN PROTOCOL
Visual: Jack opens the garage refrigerator. Warm light spills out past bottles
and ordinary food. He gestures toward a simple unlabeled brown beer bottle.
Dialogue:
JACK: You want a beer?

PANEL 6 — CONTACT
Visual: Close on alien raising one small finger as if ordering at a familiar
bar. Its expression is pleased but restrained.
Dialogue:
ALIEN: Yes.

PANEL 7 — LATER
Visual: Large serene exterior panel. Ace, Jack, and the tiny alien sit in three
mismatched lawn chairs outside the garage, backs partly toward the reader,
looking over moonlit Lake Koshkonong. Each holds a brown bottle. The alien's
chair is comically small, made from a folded milk crate and cushion. Fireflies,
reeds, distant shore lights, stars, and the old radio tower complete the view.
The garage glows warmly behind them. No spacecraft. No urgency.
Dialogue:
ACE: We should probably ask him about the universe.
JACK: Later.

LETTERING
Keep exact dialogue, short balloons, and correct speaker tails. Essential title:
FIRST CONTACT. No labels or pseudo-text are needed. Bottles must be unlabeled.

TONE
Warm, extremely simple, dry, and humane. Ace sees cosmic significance. Jack
treats the visitor like another guy stopping by the garage. The beer is social
hospitality, not drunkenness. The alien is an adult extraterrestrial visitor.
