"First Contact" reduces a civilization-changing event to the social scale of
the Ace-and-Jack garage.

Ace immediately sees the arrival of a tiny alien as humanity's first encounter
with extraterrestrial intelligence. Jack studies the visitor, opens the garage
refrigerator, and offers ordinary hospitality. The visitor's simple acceptance
settles the practical question before anyone addresses the cosmic ones.

The final panel places all three outside beside Lake Koshkonong. Ace still
wants answers about the universe. Jack prefers to let the evening breathe.
The alien remains unidentified, unexplained, and welcome.
